At ORTEC we build several products to support companies with their different planning challenges. The largest areas ORTEC is providing those products for, are routing and dispatch and rostering of employees. Each of our products is developed and maintained by a cross-functional squad that work together with the Product Owner. For several squads building our cloud native solutions, we’re looking for experienced Front-end Software Engineers.

Our cloud native solutions are hosted on Microsoft Azure written in C# and Angular. Performance is key in our front-ends, which is why we use Angular with a heavy focus on leveraging all that RxJS has to offer. This is often combined with websockets to provide live data updates to ensure our front-ends always show the latest data. An internal library with styling, components and utilities helps the developers to quickly and consistently build state-of-the-art front-ends.

Who you are

  • Experienced in HTML5, TypeScript and Angular.
  • Experienced in RxJS.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Able to mentor and guide more junior colleagues in their development
  • Comfortable with handling high complexity.
  • Able to communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written.
  • Willing to develop yourself continuously.
  • Conscientious in staying abreast of new developments.
  • Inquisitive, creative, and enthusiastic about sharing your ideas and know-how.
  • Holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or comparable
  • Willingness to take part in on-call duties to support our customers 24/7 (approx. 8 weeks per year). You will be generously compensated.
