We’re partnering with a fast-growing tech company in Breda, Netherlands, and looking for a Senior Financial Controller to join their team on-site. Rooted in strong company values and committed to continuous improvement, they’re looking for a finance leader who thrives in scale-up environments and brings best-in-class accounting and compliance expertise to the table.Purpose of the RoleThe Senior Financial Controller is responsible for safeguarding the financial health of the company. You’ll lead accounting operations, develop and implement strong internal controls, ensure compliance with international accounting standards, and manage key finance processes including revenue recognition, audits, and reporting.Your work will be crucial in enabling data-driven decisions, minimizing risk, and supporting strategic growth. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership and support the Head of Finance in financial planning and treasury functions.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all core accounting functions: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assetsLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processEnsure tax and regulatory compliance while maintaining strong internal controlsAccurately manage billing, deferred revenue, and SaaS revenue recognitionLiaise with external auditors and coordinate audit preparationDevelop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controlsHandle tax filings and statutory reporting, including coordination with external advisorsMentor junior accounting staff and help upgrade finance systems and toolsSupport forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management alongside the Head of FinanceCandidate RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent qualification is a plusMinimum 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, including 2+ years in a SaaS companyStrong expertise in revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15)Demonstrated experience managing audits and financial complianceHands-on experience with ERP systems and SaaS billing platformsStrong analytical mindset and attention to detailFluent in EnglishBased in or near Breda, Netherlands (on-site role – local applicants only)Company Benefits8% holiday allowanceEquity packagePerformance-based bonusMac environment and all necessary equipment providedAnnual hotel experience stayWeekly Friday team lunchesDedicated professional development/training budgetAbout UsWorldwiders Global Recruitment is a B2B recruitment agency specialized in executive and specialist recruitment across the globe.
