Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our innovative R&D team at LG Sonic. In this role, you will be responsible for the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of embedded systems and firmware for new product developments.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot embedded systems and electronic circuits across multiple projects.
  • Test and validate firmware functionality and embedded system performance to ensure compliance with reliability and performance standards.
  • Document test results, issues, and modifications to maintain clear, accurate, and comprehensive records for development and future reference.
  • Provide support for debugging activities using embedded system tools such as JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, and software-based debugging environments.
  • Develop and maintain firmware in C/C++ for embedded systems, with a primary focus on STM32 and Atmel processors.
  • Apply experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and low-level system programming.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of embedded software design principles, including interrupt handling, memory management, and device driver development.
  • Perform soldering tasks for hardware repairs and adjustments during debugging and prototyping phases.
  • Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot issues and meet project deadlines under pressure.

Additional Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with PCB design and development.
  • Prior experience working in R&D or product development environments.
  • Familiarity with solar systems, including integration with embedded systems, power management, and energy efficiency optimization.
  • Experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS), including design, integration, and performance optimization.

Qualification and requirements:

  • A formal degree in Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field is required.
  • Relevant certifications, professional development courses, or vocational training in embedded systems, electronics, or a related discipline are considered an advantage.
  • 1-3 Years experience in embedded systems and firmware development is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
