Within the software development department of ORTEC several products are built to support companies with their day-to-day planning for different planning challenges. The largest areas for which ORTEC is providing those products are routing and dispatch and rostering of employees. To be able to learn from this operational data, ORTEC is developing a new platform to store the operational data in a data lake. Within this platform ORTEC is developing features to be able learn from, view, and analyze this data.

As Backend Engineer you design, build and work on our brand-new data & analytics (DnA) platform. This platform will support and advice our customers on improving their bottom-line, based on data-driven decision support within their supply chain, financial services, travel and more.

Data for the apps is provided through Rest API endpoints written in .Net Core.

Who you are

Working together in a multidisciplinary team in an Agile development environment with a product owner. You can take the lead in making decision, designs, and implementation with regards to the DnA Platform. You are inquisitive, creative, and enthusiastic about sharing your ideas and know-how and you are eager to continuously develop yourself.

Furthermore:

You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or comparable.

You have at least 3 years of experience on the Microsoft Azure platform, C#, Dotnet 6, Microsoft Azure cloud (App Service, Functions, Application Insights, Azure SQL)

You can fluently communicate in English (verbally and in writing).
